- Inventory existing SharePoint sites, libraries, and metadata columns
- Deploy ARC-Files SPFx web parts via the SharePoint App Catalog
- Configure Entra ID (Azure AD) authentication and permission scopes
- Map your organization hierarchy: regions → markets → properties
- Import taxonomy using CSV files (Level1–Level4 structure)
Search, Tag & Structure
With ARC-Files connected, your team immediately gains unified search across every library. Apply metadata in bulk, standardize folder structures, and clean up historical tagging inconsistencies in hours instead of months.
- Enable unified Document Search across all connected libraries
- Run Metadata Reports to identify untagged or incorrectly classified documents
- Use the Bulk Tagger to mass-apply property codes and document types
- Set up Document Templates in 5 default categories: Lease, Insurance, Correspondence, Financial, Legal
- Configure 4 standardized columns per market: Title, Managed Metadata, DocumentDate, ExpirationDate

Once metadata is clean and structured, activate ARC-Files's governance layer. Track document expirations, enforce retention policies, run compliance checklists, and receive automated alerts — all from a single unified dashboard.
- Configure Expiration Alerts with 30/60/90-day warning thresholds
- Set retention policies (default: 365 days) with the Retention Manager
